Export Bookmarks from Delicious, Import into Google Bookmarks (via Josh Turmel)
Should prove handy for del.icio.us users like me, now that it is almost certain that Yahoo plans to scrap this excellent tool.

Simple but round-a-about way of getting your bookmarks out of Delicious and into Google Bookmarks.
- Go to Delicious and sign in to your account, then go into Settings > Bookmarks Export. This will save an HTML file containing all your links.
- Open Firefox (install if you don’t have, you can’t use Chrome to do this part). We’re going to be importing your Delicious bookmarks that you just exported into Firefox first. Open the “Bookmarks” menu and then click on “Organize Bookmarks…”, this will open a dialog, at the top are a few buttons, the one with a star on it has an option to import an HTML file, this is what you want to do, click this and then import the file you just exported from Delicious.
- Now that all of your bookmarks are in Firefox, you need to install the Google Toolbar if you don’t already have it. Once installed, make sure you are signed into your Google Account (far right end of toolbar), click on the “Bookmarks” button, at the bottom of the drop-down that opens up, you should see “Import Firefox Bookmarks”, click on this.

It will show you a screen, confirming which one’s you want to import, click on the “Import” button to finish the process. That’s it, your bookmarks should be at https://www.google.com/bookmarks/ now. To make new bookmarks, you can continue to use the toolbar, or any link you see in a Google search result, just click on the star, BAM!
